Living a great life in God's grace! (I've reached my 30th blog!)
Merry Belated Christmas everyone!
I'm telling you when you are really working in your gifting things in your life will start to flow easily and you will start to prosper in that area. This was one of the lessons I taught the youth at my church one Friday evening at Youth Night and now I'm telling you guys! I want each and everyone of us (including myself) to start living out our full potential and it is only by the grace of God and discovering what is given to us is when we will be able to live a successful and purpose-filled life. My Pastor once said in one of his sermons that there is no life, destiny, future that will ever be greater than the level of grace that is given to you. Our capacity cannot be greater than the grace given to us because like John 3:27 says we cannot receive anything that was not given to us from God. Therefore, we need to live according to the grace that was given to us and discover the capacity of that grace in order to work within the fullness of our calling.
God wants us to be fruitful and prosperous
I always assumed that when Jesus spoke about having life more abundantly with him he was just talking about eternal life with him in heaven but I have come to see another meaning to it, as he told his disciples while he was on earth to follow him and when they did they gained life more abundantly. This shows that we can also live an abundant life on earth with Christ as long as we live according to his good and perfect will for our lives. When we surrender to his will for our lives God will in turn teach us how to profit; "I am the Lord your God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go" (Isaiah 48:17). God will lead, direct and teach you how to be successful in life according to your calling and you can never fail when your working in your calling and walking in the right path because it's what's meant for you!
When your intentional with your God-given talents, God will multiply it!
Matthew 25: 15-30 talks about a parable of the talents and in this parable there are three servants that received a certain amount of talents from their master. For instance, Matthew 25: 15 says, "and unto one he gave five talents, to another two and to another one; to every man according to his several ability and straightway took his journey". In this parable, the servants with five and two talents used and multiplied their talents but the servant with the one talent went and burry his talent in the ground because he was afraid to use it. As a result, the servant with the one talent got his taken away from him and was given to the first servant instead. This parable is one of many teachable moments that Jesus had with his disciples and those around him. As the verse says, the Lord gives us all talents and some have multiple but it is what you do with those talents that count. The parable teaches us to never burry our talents or else we will lose them because God gave them to us so that we can be fruitful.
Sometimes our calling requires us to step out of our comfort zone and walk in faith. When you step out in faith and use your gifts then God will multiply you not only in your talents but in all areas of your life.
Discover what you have, it well help you reach your full potential!
